General view of the game between the North Carolina Tar Heels and the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets at Kenan Stadium on November 5, 2016 in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Fedora had a 45-43 mark across seven seasons with the Tar Heels, a tenure that was highlighted by an 11-win season and ACC Coastal championship in 2015 and the rewriting of almost every offensive record in program history.

Brown, 67, will be introduced as early as Tuesday as the replacement for Larry Fedora, who was sacked shortly after the Tar Heels finished the 2018 season at 2-9 (1-7 in the ACC).

For the past five years, he's been an analyst for ESPN.

McLaren reveal one-off livery for Alonso's last race
The Brit stormed to first place on the grid for Sunday's race as his team-mate Valtteri Bottas qualified in second place. I hope so, because that would be epic if Red Bull could start to mingle with us a little more weekend in, weekend out.

After back-to-back top-10 finishes from 1996-97, Brown left to become coach at Texas.

He will be announced as the new coach on Tuesday at a school press conference.

He started 1-10 in each of his first two seasons, but steadily built up the program through strong recruiting, particularly with instate prospects.

Trump grants pardons to turkeys 'Peas' and 'Carrots'
As the audience waited for the president and first lady, Ivanka Trump was seen running after Theodore, who made a break for it. Trump , alongside US first lady Melania Trump , approached the table where Peas sat and pardoned the turkey.

It looks like Mack Brown is headed back to North Carolina. Those Longhorns teams went 158-48 in Brown's tenure; on two occasions Texas played in the national title game.

It just seems so weird that one of the legendary head coaches of late for the Texas football program will join another former team of his in the UNC Tar Heels. Texas went 8-4 this year and Brown's final game will be the December 30 Alamo Bowl against Oregon. The Longhorns have had four straight seasons with at least four losses. Brown is now tied with Bill Dooley for the second-most wins in program history with 69. He was selected for induction into the College Football Hall of Fame this past January. Brown was most recently a college football commentator for ESPN.

Brown also has been a head coach at Tulane, as well as an assistant at Florida State, Southern Mississippi, Memphis State, Iowa State, Louisiana State (LSU) and Oklahoma.
