Brooklyn rapper 6ix9ine indicted on racketeering charges


They all face racketeering and firearms charges.

Hernandez was reportedly arrested in relation to his alleged gang activity, the New York Daily News reports.

Hernandez was arrested twice in May 2018, notes Rolling Stone, once for allegedly attacking a 16-year-old in Texas and again after police said he was caught driving with a suspended license ― and then assaulted the arresting officer.

6ix9ine is expected in court again on Wednesday (November 21) for a bail hearing. He was denied bail and will remain in custody pending trial.

Hernandez had recently fired the associates and disparaged them on a radio show, according to the report.

The investigation that led to 6ix9ine's arrest was conducted by the U.S. Attorney's office with the NYPD, the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives, and Homeland Security Investigations. His debut album, Day69, was among the most downloaded records on iTunes following its February release. He said they took Tekashi in after learning he was planning a trip to a CT casino, and feared an attempt on his life could put innocent people in jeopardy.

6ix9ine's arrest could violate the probation terms he was already under, after he pleaded guilty in 2015 to the use of a child in a sexual performance when posted a video of a 13-year-old girl performing oral sex on a mate.
