Alec Baldwin, the actor, was arrested in Manhattan on November 2, after allegedly punching someone over a parking spot, NBC New York reported.

Baldwin was in police custody Friday afternoon after the incident.

After the bicycle-related arrest, Baldwin told NY magazine he was ready to quit his public life and leave the city, an hour train ride from where he grew up on Long Island.

The driver took his right arm off the steering wheel and fought back, grabbing the woman's arm when she attacked him again. The statement concluded that both the passenger and the driver had broken laws for seriously endangering public safety.

That means Baldwin was the one throwing the punch, and he has been arrested and taken to the 6th Precinct Station.

A representative for Baldwin has not yet responded to CNN's request for comment. When asked about Baldwin's arrest, the USA president said: "I wish him luck". Baldwin is believed to have struck the other man, and was subsequently placed under arrest, while the victim was taken to a local hospital.

Baldwin also received backlash in 2013 for lobbing a gay slur against a photographer attempting to capture his wife and infant son on camera.

Baldwin will appear in court at a later date, according to the NYPD. CBS News reports that the presiding hudge in the case, John Delury, told Baldwin that he had a "short fuse" and asked the actor whether he could "stay out of trouble" in the future.
