Google Announces Project Stream, Which Lets You Stream Games In Chrome

Google has been working on Project Stream for some time in an effort to resolve some of the technical challenges posed by game streaming, such as video quality degradation, frame skipping, and buffering.

On Monday, the tech giant said that a new partnership with Ubisoft will bring Assassin's Creed Odyssey to the Chrome browser - at least, to USA residents - from October 5.

Select people have an opportunity to play Assassin's Creed Odyssey for free this week through Google's new "Project Stream" service.

Google has officially lifted the wraps off Project Stream, a new service allowing users to stream content using the company's Internet browser, Chrome.

While the Assassins Creed series has seen some changes over the past few entries, Assassins Creed Odyssey blows things right open.

As household names in the gaming world like Nvidia and Microsoft grapple with making high-quality game streaming accessible, it seems Google has also made a decision to throw its hat in the ring.
