Kanye West's pro-Trump remarks prompt boos in SNL studio

Rapper Kanye West has drunk the covfefe, as seen in unaired footage from the Saturday Night Live Season 44 premiere. Kanye is also fond of ranting during public appearances, so it was a near guarantee he'd turn his SNL performance into an opportunity to stump for Trump.

In a clip posted by the comedian, Kanye is heard singing: "I wanna cry right now, black man in America, supposed to keep what you're feelin' in side right now..." That's how we're controlled.

Kanye returned to the stage with Teyana Taylor to perform the song "We Got Love". There's some more below, plucked from an Instagram Story that Chris Rock shared.

West has stunned fans by becoming one of the few celebrities - as well as one of the only prominent African Americans - to support Trump.

Videos taken from the live studio audience showed West in his "Make America Great Again" hat pacing the stage as the rest of the cast and crew stood awkwardly behind him. "That's the Democratic plan", West said. The audience, however, booed and jeered at West several times.

To perform his latest track 'I Love It' with Lil Pump, West dressed up as a giant Perrier bottle of sparkling water and Lil Pump donned a giant Fiji (still) water costume. The rapper earlier this year dropped "Ye vs. the People", in which he defended his Yeezus-turned-#MAGA hat-loving persona. Midway through, NBC cut to commercial, as the show had reached the end of its allotted airtime - but West didn't stop there.
