Kim Kardashian turns to another convicted felon’s case


The fashion mogul and internet celeb reportedly arrived in Washington, D.C. on Wednesday for the face-to-face meeting to discuss prison reform and make a request to the President to free another person who has been sentenced to life in prison for drug-related charges.

Kardashian spoke about her intentions during the Wrongful Conviction podcast with Jason Flom.

Kim wants the President to get behind prison reform legislation that will rejigger sentences so they fit the crime.

"Today at the White House, members of the administration are hosting a listening session about the clemency process", Trump spokesman Hogan Gidley said.

During an appearance on Jason Flom's "Wrongful Conviction" podcast, which is set to air Wednesday, Kardashian, 37, said she's been talking to Chris Young, who is now serving a life sentence without parole, Page Six reported.

However, during her first White House visit in May, Kardashian met the president and called for the release of Alice Marie Johnson, a 63-year-old woman who served over 20 years for a nonviolent drug offense. "He's been in for nearly 10 years", she said, according to Page Six.

Montgomery County court records show Young has been arrested on numerous charges dating back to 2007, including: using a false identification, carrying a weapon/domestic violence/order of protection, unlawful possession of a weapon, convicted felon in possession of a weapon, drugs, simple possession, cocaine charges, aggravated assault, window tint, speeding, display of registration, drug paraphernalia, DUI, violation of probation, violation of implied consent, and possession of a handgun while under the influence. Instead, his daughter - who introduced Kardashian to Kushner - sat at one end of the table, with her husband at the other, photos show.
