Kawhi Leonard, DeMar DeRozan really don't want this deal to happen

The Toronto Raptors are finalizing a deal to acquire Kawhi Leonard from the San Antonio Spurs, according to a report from Adrian Wojnaroski and Chris Haynes of ESPN. The hope they once had for landing the All-Star forward is gone. Leonard's camp has been making it clear that he would like to sign with the Los Angeles Lakers next summer. If Leonard left the Raptors, he could sign a four-year, $141 million deal with a team with the available salary-cap space. Some type of combination of DeMar DeRozan, Pascal Siakim, OG Anunoby, Serge Ibaka and a first-round pick has been bandied about in recent weeks.

After Shams Charania of Yahoo Sports initially reported on the trade discussions between San Antonio and Toronto, DeRozan appeared to take a shot at the Raptors on social media.

With that in mind, Toronto has the ability to offer the Spurs the best package, according to Windhorst, and the main issue is San Antonio's patience.

DeRozan also has expressed displeasure toward a possible move, becoming aware of the possibility late Tuesday night, league sources said.

DeRozan's inclusion in a deal is hard, and DeRozan himself has been made aware of it. If he chooses not to exercise that option, he would become an unrestricted free agent and he has insisted that he wants to play for the Los Angeles Lakers.
